Corporate telecommunications firm Excell continues acquisition drive
Excell Group, the London-based telecommunications firm utilised by the likes of H&M and Workspace, have announced a pair of acquisitions that bolster its audiovisual portfolio.
Telephony experts City Voice and Data Ltd and corporate AV provider City AVS, both headquartered in London, have both been snapped up by the telecommunications firm for undisclosed amounts and will now operate as part of the Excell Group.
As part of the agreement, Excell will take on both firm’s UK-wide teams, consisting of field engineers and ICT consultants, as well as their London-based service desk, with directors Robert Boyne and Alex Smith continuing in their roles but who will now report to the Excell Group board.
It follows a significant acquisition drive in the past year by corporate telecommunications firm, which is also the largest independent company in the UK to own its own network, as it looks to expand the range of managed services it provides to business clients across the country.
Commenting on these latest acquisitions, Finance Director Edward Pettit, said: “We followed last year’s successful acquisition of Resource Utilities and Green Mobile customer bases with the acquisition of City Voice and City AVS last month, which takes turnover above £30m.
“The Group has strong cash reserves meaning we are well placed to quickly capitalise on other opportunities in the near future. We are continuing to pursue the acquisition strategy with increasing intensity.”
Darren Strowger, who is Chairman of Excell Group, believes the tie-up will provide benefits for both the group itself as well as City Voice and Data and City AVS’s clients who will now have access to Excell’s portfolio of products.
He added: “The acquisition provides a strong foundation for Excell Group in the audio visual space, and is a great strategic fit for the evolution of our business – helping drive further cross selling opportunities within our enlarged base while also providing City Voice and City AVS customers with direct access to the group’s full portfolio of products and services.”
