Dragons’ Den entrepreneur scores Sainsbury’s deal
Natural toiletries company Good Bubble has landed a national distribution deal with supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.
The agreement will see five lines from the firm’s range of children’s superfruit bath products made available across 240 Sainsbury’s stores from this Sunday (July 31).
Good Bubble, based in the Middleton area of Rochdale, already has distribution deals in place for its hair and bath products with a number of national retailers, including Ocado, Holland & Barrett and Whole Foods Market.
In August last year, Good Bubble founder Amy Wordsworth appeared on TV show Dragons’ Den and, after almost fainting during the pitch, went on to secure backing from dragon Deborah Meaden.
The company said its products are formulated with at least 98% naturally derived ingredients and real fruit extracts.
Just recently, Good Bubble was awarded Cruelty Free International’s ‘Leaping Bunny’ accreditation.
Commenting on the Sainsbury’s deal, entrepreneur Amy said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have Sainsbury’s on board and to have secured space on their shelves across a good number of stores.
“Our goal of bringing fun, effective yet gentle toiletries for little ones to the bathrooms of every family in the UK is becoming real.”
Deborah Meaden of Dragons’ Den, a long-standing investor in Good Bubble, commented: “It’s great news and fantastic that Sainsbury’s see the potential in safe, gentle, good, affordable bubbles.”
