Emmerdale actor has starring role in launch of estate agent’s new Wetherby office
Linley & Simpson, the estate agency which specialises in both residential sales and lettings, has relocated its Wetherby branch into flagship new premises in the centre of the market town.
After seeing an increase in demand for properties, the estate agency transferred its team of seven staff into bigger offices on North Street.
Since launching a residential sales operation to the agency two years ago, Linley & SimpsonâÂÂs Wetherby base has needed to expand as the business continued to grow.
The agency, which now has 11 interlinked branches across the county, called on Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle in the TV soap, to officially open the new branch.
The increase in demand is underlined by the fact that Linley & SimpsonâÂÂs Wetherby branch now has almost 700 active buyers registered and searching for a property.
Located by The Horsefair Centre, the agencyâÂÂs new office is more accessible to customers and provides a bigger shop window through which it can showcase the properties it has for sale and rent.
Steve Kilby, the agencyâÂÂs branch manager, said: âÂÂThe move to purpose-designed premises strengthens our presence on the High Street - and matches our increasing online profile.
âÂÂHaving outgrown our original Wetherby office, we are delighted to secure a move into such a prominent and convenient location that sits at the heart of the community.
âÂÂOver the last 12 years we have witnessed a resurgence in the appeal of Wetherby and its surrounding villages - and the first six months of this year continue to reflect this magnetism.“
He added: âÂÂJeff, a well-known face both on-screen and here in the Wetherby community itself as a âÂÂlocalâÂÂ, is just one of the 40,000 people that Linley & Simpson have helped move home since our launch.
âÂÂWe are grateful to him for taking time out from his busy filming schedule to mark a real âÂÂYorkshireâ start of an exciting era for our new-look base.“
The Wetherby branch works closely with its sister offices in Harrogate, York and Leeds to give Linley & Simpson blanket coverage of YorkshireâÂÂs âÂÂgolden triangle.“
