Redsun acquires land for 35,000 sq ft Knowsley industrial project
Redsun Developments has snapped up a two-acre site in Knowsley and announced plans to build new industrial space.
The Liverpool-based developer has submitted a planning application for 35,000 sq ft of industrial units at Huyton Business Park.
Subject to planning, work on the site is set to get underway later this year, with the scheme ready for occupants in early 2017.
Located at the Tarbock Interchange of the M57 and M62, Huyton Business Park is home to a number of manufacturers and trade operators, including Travis Perkins, Halewood International, Screwfix, Toolstation and Howdens Joinery.
Redsun Developments’ director, Nick Wightman, said: “Huyton Business Park is somewhere we’ve been looking at for a while now. It’s in a great location but the quality of existing buildings is very poor.
“By delivering a quality product into this location we expect to attract some high calibre occupiers and are already in advanced talks with one such company looking for space to expand.”
Jonathan Lowe of property consultancy firm Bilfinger GVA is the agent on the development.
Redsun is the developer behind a number of similar schemes across the North West, including Helix Business Park in Cheshire, a five-acre development within Wirral International Business Park and the innovate:speke scheme at Venture Point.
In the the company has secured planning consent for 300,000 sq ft of North West commercial floorspace to be delivered over the next year.
