SMEs in South East to benefit from free cyber security advice

Over 500 SMEs located in the South East will be benefiting from free cyber security advice.

Cyber attacks are currently one of the biggest threats facing businesses in the UK, with the UK economy losing £20 billion per year to security breaches.1 Small to medium sized businesses, that generally lack the required resources or knowledge to fight online fraudsters, are particularly vulnerable.

Organised by Sussex based IT service provider PAV i.t. services ltd, the businesses will each receive a free 16 page advice booklet providing the essentials and best practice protocol to review their existing security procedures.

Jason Fry, Managing Director at PAV i.t. services, said:

“Cyber attacks pose one of the most immediate and serious threats to businesses and, in the most serious cases, can cause irreparable damage to both their finances and reputation.

“The advice booklets are essential reading for any business that needs to know more about cyber security and how to implement policy. We urge companies to read the booklets provided and seek professional advice to ensure they have a robust cyber security policy in place.”

Businesses will also be able to download a free digital version of the booklet by visiting www.pav.co.uk/cybersecurity
