St Ann’s Hospice receives over £15k from Together

St Ann’s Hospice has received a cheque for over £15k from Cheadle-based finance group, Together, which has been raising funds for the local charity.

£15,782 was raised after a group of colleagues at the company tackled the National Three Peaks Challenge. The funds will help the hospice in providing care and support to those affected by life limiting illnesses in Greater Manchester.

Employees climbed Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, climbing a total of 10,000 metres and walking 26 miles, completing the challenge within 24 hours.

The funds raised by Together will allow the hospice to continue to provide the best care to its patients. The hospice helps over 3,000 people every year, and the amount raised is equivalent to the daily running cost.

Jo Burton, corporate fundraiser at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “This is a fantastic amount and we’re thrilled to receive this cheque from Together. We rely on fundraising to maintain our services and this contribution will provide essential care to our patients.”

HR director at Together, Kevin Fisher, said: “We’re delighted to be able to present St Ann’s Hospice with this cheque for over £15,000. As it’s a local charity, many of our colleagues have had friends and relatives receive care from the hospice, so we were keen to be able to give something back.

“Our colleagues worked really hard to complete the challenge and we’re incredibly proud of them.”

Specialist lender Together supports a range of charity and community initiatives, with a strong focus on giving back to the local community.
