Newcastle's Grey Street Las Iguanas set for £100k refurbishment
South American restaurant and bar group Las Iguanas are sprucing up their branch on Newcastle’s Grey Street with a £100,000 refurbishment.
The announcement follows the chain’s recent £500k expansion to Newcastle Quayside in May, creating as many as 23 new jobs in the city.
The Grey Street venue will be closed from 1st August to Thursday 4th August whilst work is underway.
Head of Brand, Lucy Harwood, said “We opened in Newcastle in 2011 and we were blown away by the warm welcome we received - the restaurant has been pretty much full day and night since then.
Lucy added: “Our facelift comes just in time for the Rio Olympics which kicks off on 5th August.
“Customers can enjoy our special Carioca menu which celebrates the cuisine and culture of Rio de Janeiro, loads of classic Brazilian cocktails and chances to win a trip to Rio when you dine.”
