Jobs to follow turnover hike at Gateshead's Flame Heating Spares
Gateshead-headquartered Flame Heating Spares has reported a strong set of financials for the year, leading the heating and plumbing specialist to reveal plans of investing in its workforce.
The company, operates throughout the region, saw turnover rise by £4m from £2.4m to £6.4m, from June 2015 to June 2016. With John Savage, managing director of Flame Heating Spares, forecasting continued growth, new jobs are expecting to follow at the business.
Over the course of the next five years, John says he plans on doubling his workforce to more than 40 employees.
Since launching in 2011, Mr Savage has doubled the number of branches Flame Heating operates to six, following openings in Sunderland, Stockton and Ashington.
The company, which also has outlets in Durham and South Shields adding to its relocated Gateshead HQ, is setting its sights on owning as many as 20 branches by 2021.
Mr Savage said: “It has been another successful year for Flame, buoyed by an increase in demand amongst our customers and installers for our services and ever-increasing product range.
“The industry as a whole has continued to thrive and together with the addition of another three branches over the last 12 months, we are now able to serve even more areas.
“Our ambitious five year plan is just the beginning for the company and there is a lot of positivity ahead.
“We have grown massively in the space of five years, more than I ever could have imagined, and the plan is to continue this trend with further launches and investing in our workforce and infrastructure.”
