Together rocks out at summer event
Cheadle-based finance provider Together - recently nominated for Employer of the Year at the Stockport Business Awards - hosted a fun-filled event last weekend for colleagues and their guests in the grounds of historic country house Gawsworth Hall.
Marking another successful year, the business celebrated with over 800 guests, who were treated to complimentary fare from local suppliers, with delicious street food, a pop up tea room, a cocktail bar, a chocolate fountain and an ice cream van. There was music throughout, with Celtic-inspired Murphy’s Marbles performing in the festival tent during the day, whilst acclaimed Queen tribute act, Gary Mullen and the Works entertained the crowd in the evening in a stadium setting. The show-stopping group has appeared previously on BBC TV, at BBC Proms in the Park and on numerous international tours.
The winners of best dressed couple; Natasha Smith and her husband Jamie, claimed a holiday to Cyprus, whilst recently appointed executive John Hunt won the award for best vintage costume. Other prizes included Beats headphones and an Apple watch.
As one of many annual social events hosted by the company, Together is committed to rewarding colleagues. The business saw its staff headcount increase by 22% in the 12 months to May 2016 and is keen to attract new talent as it continues to grow, with a number of initiatives including graduate trainee schemes and an apprenticeship programme.
