Leeds City College to reveal plans for new Quarry Hill campus
Leeds City College is set to host a public exhibition this week to showcase its proposals for a new campus at Quarry Hill.
The college is preparing a planning application for the new-build facility, which will be home to its digital and creative arts and health and caring services offer.
The development, in the centre of Leeds, will also provide a new facility for Leeds College of Music.
The college is seeking feedback for a scheme it hopes will enhance and complement its surroundings.
Part-funded by Leeds City College and a bid through the Local Enterprise Partnership, the new campus will open in time for the 2018 academic year if approved.
The Quarry Hill site would be the college’s second major new development in the city centre, complementing its new Hunslet Road Printworks development.
The exhibition will take place between 3.00pm and 7.00pm in the Priestley room of the West Yorkshire Playhouse this Thursday (August 4).
