Building better governance

North East Programme – September to November 2016

What is Building Better Governance?

Getting your governance right can be tricky for nonprofit organisations. However, it is absolutely crucial for achieving your organisation’s mission. In partnership with academic and nonprofit organisations from across the region, Cass CCE is delighted to present the Building Better Governance programme for the North East. The programme is designed to share Cass CCE’s governance experts’ academic knowledge with sector leaders to improve governance effectiveness.

How the programme works

The series will be highly interactive using a mix of short inputs sharing research and best practice alongside insightful group work, in which you will create and combine to really extend your knowledge of governance for voluntary, community and social enterprises.. You will be encouraged to apply your learning in the workplace. In order to minimise the disruption to busy schedules, the programme is structured so that you come together three times over three months for six modules: you will have an evening session followed the next day by a morning session. The sessions will take place at MEA House, Ellison Place, Newcastle NE1 8XS.

Who should attend?

The seminar series is aimed at chief executives, chairs, trustees and others who have a governance function within their nonprofit organisation.
