Lights, Camera, Action! BLE Supply To Odeon And Cineworld

Sheffield based BLE Lighting & Power Ltd are celebrating after supplying their products to the newly built Odeon and Cineworld cinema sites throughout the UK.

The emergency lighting specialists supply a bespoke and cost-effective Static Inverter solution to Odeon and Cineworld cinemas after securing projects with major contractors JD Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd and G&W Contracting Ltd.

BLE were originally supplying their special ‘Cinema Exit Sign’ as 110V Slave for Central Battery Systems via one of their valued Lighting customers, which were specified on these projects at the time.

The consultant dealing with Odeon decided to use Static Inverter Systems on new sites which would enable an increase in their choice of light fittings. This resulted in the specification being changed and provided BLE Lighting and Power Ltd with the opportunity to quote for the static inverters in addition to continuing to supply the ‘Cinema Exit Sign’, now as a 230v variant.

The contractor who was successful in the majority of these projects was JD Electrical & Mechanical, who helped in recommending the use of BLE Lighting & Powers static inverters to Odeon. When JD began bidding for Cineworld sites, BLE worked alongside them to produce a cost-effective bespoke system, this in turn lead to BLE’s introduction to G&W who are also a major contractor to Cineworld.
