Turnover at St Helens firm Jade Solutions hits £12m
St Helens firm Jade Solutions has taken advantage of a rise in demand for mobile devices and wireless capability to drive its turnover up by 19%.
The company, which provides mobile enterprise and wireless infrastructure services, saw its turnover rise past the £12m mark in 2015.
Jade has also recorded a 250% increase in its profits over the last two years, according to its latest financial report.
The growth has been attributed to an increase in the deployment of the firm’s IT services, particularly across the retail, hospitality and logistics sectors, including deals with companies such as fast food chain McDonald’s and footwear giant Clarks.
Now, Jade is now working with brands like restaurant chain Nando’s, book shop Foyles and train operator Northern Rail.
The Newton-le-Willows-based company’s finance director, Peter Thomson, said of the growth: “We are very pleased with the financial performance in 2015, which is a testament to both the business strategy and the professionalism and commitment of the whole Jade team.
“We have also taken the opportunity to employ additional staff in key areas of customer interface; sales, delivery and support.”
He continued: “We have seen the benefit of the newer offerings, but there has been an increase in demand across the whole range of products and services that we offer.
“The results for the first half of 2016 are on plan, and we are positive about the direction of the company and the prospects for future growth.”
