Duo UK expands reusable bag offer
Packaging manufacturer and supplier Duo UK has responded to a rising demand for its ‘bag-for-life’ offer this summer with the introduction of new jute, cotton and woven reusable bags.
The Manchester-based company has reported an increased demand for more sustainable carrier bags since the Government introduced the plastic bag levy in 2015.
Zoe Brimelow, brand director at Duo UK, said of the diversification: “Bags are no longer considered just a practical product to transport goods home – they’re functional, flexible fashion statements and they allow consumers to advocate their brand loyalty.
“Investing in this powerful marketing tool, we have seen many brands add branded bags for life to their promotional product range.”
She continued: “We’ve noticed that more of our customers, such as Jempsons, Manchester University and Forever Unique, are looking for bags that added value to both their customers shopping experience and support brand and marketing activity.”
Established more than 25 years ago, Duo UK provides items such as mail bags, paper bags and fabric bags, as well as gift boxes, tissue and ribbon, to retail and e-retail brands including Tesco, ASOS and JD Williams.
Last year the firm launched DuoGreen, a new service to help clients achieve their environmental goals.
