Behind the Business with George Koritsa

Bdaily goes behind the business with George Koritsa, North Shields Business Improvement Specalist for ActionCoach. George has 10 years’ experience in coaching and mentoring SME business owners, helping them grow from good to great!

What key challenges has your company recently faced?

Having been operating for 10 years in Adelaide, South Australia, relocating to the North East of England has been a challenge as I’m re-establishing here.

What is your biggest achievement over the past 12 months?

Having moved over to the UK whilst maintaining my clients in Australia. Also being inducted into the Chairman’s club of ActionCOACH.

What is your most important focus for the coming year, and what do you hope to achieve?

My long term goals is to create 30,000 new jobs in the North East by assisting small and medium business owners to grow their businesses.

What excites you most about your industry and business?

The opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, seeing business people take a holiday or attend their kids school events, is the most rewarding part of what I do, helping a business grow not only helps the business owner but also their team and the broader community.

What do you wish you’d known when starting out?

How to meet business owners, one of the biggest challenges I face is that most business people don’t know that help is out there.

What will be the “next big thing“ in your industry, and how do you plan to handle it?

I think the next “big thing” is Brexit and how to grab the no opportunities that’ll come out of it. Sure there will be some challenges with exiting European Union as obviously EU funding might stop, however, there will be expanding business opportunities in growing marketplaces like India, China, Canada, Australia etc. Why worry about Spain, Portugal, or Greece? They’re all broke! The UK is a major importer on EU goods do you think this will change?
