Manchester City sign deal with Roberto Carlos-backed betting site
Manchester City have struck a new deal to make online sportsbook Tempobet their official betting partner for the Asia-Pacific region.
Tempobet, which counts World Cup winner Roberto Carlos as a brand ambassador, has teamed up with City after signing similar deals with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The MCFC agreement will see a number of City players appear in Tempobet’s upcoming TV advert, while the club’s new crest will feature on the firm’s website.
Damian Willoughby, the VP director of partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region for City Football Group, which owns Manchester City, said of the deal: “We are delighted to welcome Tempobet to the Manchester City family.
“Tempobet are a world leading gambling company with an extensive presence in the Asia-Pacific region, where our fan base continues to grow.”
Speaking further, Damian said the online sportsbook’s “commitment to ensuring a consistently exciting experience for all” is reflective of Manchester City’s own ethos.
He continued: “We look forward to working with them to better connect with our supporters around the world.”
Founded in 2007, Tempobet offers live betting services with a focus on developing markets.
The managing director of Tempobet, Mark Clayton, commented: “We’re very excited about teaming up with Manchester City, who are a huge name in global football and share our ambition to be the biggest and best.”
