Global MSP Datapipe Chooses Adapt To Accelerate Growth

Acquisition by Datapipe supercharges the fastest-growing managed cloud service provider in the UK with advanced tech and global reach.

Adapt has today announced it had been acquired by Datapipe, acknowledged by Gartner* and Forrester** as a leader in cloud-enabled managed services. This move will deepen Adapt’s pure managed cloud proposition with advanced skills, innovation and tech, additionally creating extensive global reach that enhances customer experience and supercharges the fastest-growing managed services business in the UK.

A next generation MSP, Datapipe is recognised as the pioneer of managed services for public cloud platforms. Datapipe has unique expertise in architecting, migrating, managing and securing public cloud, private cloud, hybrid IT and traditional IT environments around the world. Adapt customers will benefit from access to Datapipe’s global data centres and the company’s comprehensive cloud, compliance, security, governance, automation and DevOps solutions.

Adapt’s acquisition represents a non-disruptive addition to the Datapipe family due to the similarity in proposition and approach between the two organisations.

Stewart Smythe, CEO at Adapt says:

“UK-only consolidations in our space can get very messy and can be short-sighted. We have chosen a far more exciting path.”

“We are seeing emerging customer requirements for a tactical and strategic presence overseas so it makes sense for us to advance the UK’s capability in a global market rather than create more bulky domestic organisations. Datapipe is the perfect business to acquire Adapt – this agreement is about mutually enhancing regional and global capability. Combined, we provide an unrivalled solution for enterprises wanting to grow, enhance or extend their capabilities, improve efficiencies and secure their enterprise IT operations.”

Robb Allen, CEO at Datapipe says:

“Adapt and Datapipe both have cultures that focus on proactive, high touch customer service and a commitment to customer specific solutions designed to meet clients’ individual business challenges. Our similar approach to guiding clients on their cloud journey makes the acquisition a natural fit for us and will increase our scale and service capabilities in the United Kingdom, and the broader European market.”

Adapt customers can now tap into the best-of-breed security and compliance services required by today’s largest enterprise organisations. Additionally, Adapt customers will have access to Datapipe’s global presence including facilities and technical talent in London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Moscow in Europe; Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore in Asia; Sao Paolo, Brazil and multiple locations within the U.S. including Silicon Valley, Seattle, Washington D.C. and the New York Metropolitan area.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
