TIS 'On Fire' With Government Turnaround Project
Mansfield-based TIS has successfully completed a contract to provide a range of security and fire systems to three new state-of-the-art Primary Schools across Lincolnshire, as part of a Government turnaround.
TIS, the UK’s leading independent fire, security and communication specialists have been working alongside the main contractor GallifordTry, to provide fire safety instalments to three Lincolnshire-based primary schools, The Grange, Great Coates and Burton-Upon-Stather.
The firm designed and installed intruder alarms, CCTV and access control, along with fire alarm systems, disabled refuge, WC alarms and induction loops to ensure that the new schools had the most innovative security and fire alarm solutions available on the market.
The renovation project was funded through the Government’s Priority School Building Programme (PSBP), which is transforming some of the most run-down schools across the country.
Jake Williams, project manager at TIS, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working on this project. The new facilities now mean that we can be safe in the knowledge that the pupils and premises are being protected by our award winning security systems.

Pupils at the school buried a time capsule at the start of the work to rebuild their school, where protection systems were provided and installed by award winning security specialists TIS.
The company develops some of the most advanced and sophisticated systems for industry, The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and local authorities, supplying a wide range of associated products and services from CCTV and access control to audio systems and IT networks to clients.
Alan Woodward, from Derry Ltd, the M&E contractor on the project, said: “The expertise and professionalism TIS brought to this project, coupled with a real desire to deliver the best possible service have ensured the project has been managed at the highest levels and delivered on time to budget.
“The systems installed will make a vast difference to the safety and wellbeing of staff, pupils and visitors, as well as dramatically improving communications across each school. I look forward to working with TIS in the future and would highly recommend them”.

The fast growing firm also won the Mansfield 20/20 Business of the Year award for 2016.
