Businesses urged to use #HelpMeAPR for free support
Multi award-winning public relations consultancy, Approach PR, has launched its autumn training programme with a social media competition.
The team’s training arm, Approachability, is running a #HelpMeAPR competition on Twitter asking local businesses, within a 20-mile radius of its offices in Ilkley, to share their social media challenges.
The winner will receive two hours of free social media time delivered by Approach PR’s digital experts and two runner up businesses will receive a discount when booking three Approachability places.
Coinciding with the agency’s 15th birthday celebrations, the new semester of training dates in September and October will share its extensive media and digital expertise through weekly PR and social media training workshops, kicking off with its basic “Introduction to Social Media” on 6 September, followed by the intermediate “How to” courses.
Suzanne Watson, managing director of the six-strong consultancy, said: “We launched Approachability in 2008 and have established a series of training courses which inform, educate and inspire business people to embrace the opportunities that PR and social media bring to every enterprise – whatever the size or sector.
“Launching this autumn’s dates with a Twitter competition is a great way to demonstrate the benefits of social media and helps us give back to the region that’s enabled us to grow and develop over the last 15 years.” Suzanne added.
Currently shortlisted in three categories for this year’s CIPR PRide awards, Approach PR has accumulated more than 20 PR industry and business accolades since its launch in 2001 and today works with local, regional, national and international brands including Airedale Chemical, Kirkgate Shopping, Mobalpa Kitchens and Wintersgill Associates.
Approachability workshops are held at the team’s Ilkley offices on The Grove or can be tailored to a company’s brief and delivered on client premises. For further information, go to www.approachpr.com, e-mail rebekha@approachpr.com or call 01943 603805.
