Buyers flock to East Yorkshire housing scheme before builders move in

Beal Homes has commenced construction work at the West Hill development at Willerby, East Yorkshire.

Before builders arrived on site, the regional housebuilder already sold a number of properties. Reservations have been taken for 11 of the first 19 properties made available at the development.

The development of 130 mainly detached properties, ranging from three to five bedrooms, with the first releases from £249,995 to £525,000, sits among traditional woodland and farmland on the Willerby-Kirkella border.

West Hill features 18 different house types, including nine “Signature” properties on a site off Beverley Road, Willerby. Each home has been designed for modern life, with open, contemporary living spaces together with the option of altering layouts to enable buyers to create their own interior.

Infrastructure work has now begun at the site, with construction of the first properties due to begin within weeks.

Richard Beal, Beal Homes chairman and managing director, said: “We’ve had an enormous amount of interest in West Hill and this has been reflected in a flurry of sales before construction has even begun.

“We knew there was strong pent-up demand from people who want to buy a Beal home in such a scenic and convenient location as we had more than 1,000 registrations of interest in West Hill in advance of marketing the development.

“The interest is partly due to the popularity of our highly-successful St George’s Court development which is just a stone’s throw away. In fact, several residents at St George’s Court have registered their interest in West Hill as they want to move up to a larger home.

“We’re delighted to now be able to begin construction and offer the opportunity for people to be part of this extremely attractive development.”

Sue Waudby, Beal sales and marketing director, added: “We’re not surprised West Hill is proving so popular even before a brick has been laid because the location has so many advantages.

“The site is close to local shops, including the Waitrose store within walking distance, excellent schools and other facilities and amenities. It also offers easy access to the road network to reach Hull, Beverley, York and Leeds.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to buy a high-quality Beal home, designed to your specification, in a highly-desirable location.”
