Ascential stumps up $44m for Amazon ecommerce firm

Media company Ascential has acquired the US ecommerce analytics firm One Click Retail in a deal worth $44m.

The agreement will see the Salt Lake City-headquartered business move under Ascential’s Information Services umbrella once the full cash transaction is completed at the end of the month.

One Click Retail provide data analytics to a range of big-name brands to help them optimise their ecommerce operations, with clients including Nestle, Unilever and Panasonic, providing them with insight to help them sell their products on ecommerce platforms like Amazon.

Chief Executive Officer at Ascential, Duncan Painter, commented: “We are delighted to welcome One Click Retail and Spencer and his team to Ascential. It is a quality business that we have been tracking for some time in an exciting part of the retail vertical.
