Dining chain Chicago Rib Shack to open fifth London restaurant
Restaurant chain Chicago Rib Shack is set to expand its London presence with a new restaurant in Aldgate.
The eatery, which will be the firm’s fifth in London and sixth overall, will open this autumn in a 1,993 sq ft unit on Wentworth Street.
With enough space for 125 diners, the new Chicago Rib Shack diner will replace the Copita del Mercado.
London-based agent Restaurant Property secured the lease on the Wentworth Street site, which runs until 2029.
Christian Arden, Rib Shack chief exec, said: “We are delighted with this new site in this up-and-coming part of London.
“We are sure Aldgate East will become a buzzing destination alongside its neighbour, Shoreditch.”
David Rawlinson, the founder and agency director at Restaurant Property, commented: “Aldgate East is an exciting and changing part of London, and I’m sure local residents and office workers will be pleased to have a Chicago Rib Shack on their doorstep!”
The Aldgate East Chicago Rib Shack will open its doors in early October.
