Location data company Yext uses Soho HQ as springboard into Northern Europe
Location data management firm Yext has announced the expansion of its operations across Northern Europe.
The New York company, which has its UK HQ in Soho, said the move marks a “major milestone” in its mission to expand its footprint overseas.
Since moving into London in the last 12 months, Yext has signed a number of partnerships to provide location data management for SMEs across Europe, including a deal with Irish directory Goldenpages, Dutch marketing firm DTG, Finnish information services company Fonecta and Belgium-based FCR Media.
To drive the growth further, Yext has appointed a new MD for the UK and Northern Europe.
Jon Buss, who has 20 years of experience in startups and international businesses, previously helped performance display advertising firm Criteo achieve 300% revenue growth.
Howard Lerman, the co-founder and CEO of Yext, said: “Like the rest of the world, the UK and Northern Europe are witnessing an unprecedented change in consumer behaviour due to the rise of mobile technology.
“Consumers are discovering businesses and making purchasing decisions on their smartphones, so it’s critical that businesses manage the information about their locations online – everywhere consumers are searching.”
He added: “By expanding our operations, we’re making it easier for businesses of all sizes to manage their location data at scale and focus on building stronger relationships with their customers.”
