Merger creates new Wythenshawe plastics manufacturer
Merseyside plastics manufacturer Coral Products has merged two of its wholly owned subsidiaries.
Tatra Plastics Limited and Rotalac Plastics Limited, which were acquired by Haydock-based Coral in 2014 and 2016 respectively, have merged to create Tatra Rotalac Limited.
The deal was concluded after the Coral board decided that combining the two firms would bolster their customer service offer and put both in a stronger position commercially.
Following the merger, Tatra has relocated its operations from Halifax to Rotalac’s 40,000 sq ft facility in Wythenshawe, where 25 production lines operate a 24 hours a day.
Tatra, founded in 1963, is an approved supplier to telecoms giant BT and transport operator Network Rail.
The company manufactures products developed specifically for the telecoms and rail industries, as well as rigid and flexible plastic extrusions for custom and standard profiles.
