Liverpool’s Hotel Indigo and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse relaunch following refurb
A project to refurbish Hotel Indigo and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Liverpool city centre is now complete.
The ground floor of hotel and restaurant, located on Chapel Street and managed by leisure operator Valor Hospitality Europe, has been given a modern makeover by Falkirk-based interiors firm Greyline Design.
The building’s reception, gym and Cotton Lounge were also included in the refurb.
Gavin Liddle, the interior designer at Greyline who spearheaded the project, took inspiration from the city’s music and industrial heritage, with woven-effect wallpapers reflecting Liverpool’s once-booming cotton trade.
The city’s abandoned tobacco factories and Albert Dock, meanwhile, inspired the venue’s distressed wood, timber drawers and exposed bulbs.
Valor Hospitality Europe MD Brian McCarthy said: “Gavin Liddle’s design has really brought to life our vision for the Hotel Indigo Liverpool.
“The sleek and contemporary design, as well as the brand new menu at the MPW restaurant has taken our offering at this hotel to a whole new level.”
He continued: “We’re driven by providing the best possible hotel experience to all of our guests which is why we are currently investing in all 19 of the properties in our portfolio.
“The transformation of the Hotel Indigo and the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill is an example of the high standards we are aiming for and we hope to replicate this success across all of our hotels.”
Valor Hospitality plans to invest in the hotel further, with bedroom upgrades expected to take place in the future.
The general manager of Hotel Indigo Liverpool, Mark Tasker, commented: “After five years in the city, it was time for a fresh new outlook, and our guests will be impressed with the look and feel of the place – it has dramatically changed for the better, a place where people feel welcome and relaxed.
“Our food offering has also expanded with a new lounge menu for those wanting a quick bite, while a revitalised main menu combines some of our most popular dishes with a host of exciting new additions, all reflecting Marco’s passion for classic food done consistently well.”
