Bilfinger GVA appointed to market 8.5 acre Doncaster development site
Bilfinger GVA, the commercial real estate adviser, has been appointed to launch a substantial development scheme in Doncaster onto the market.
The 8.5 acre cleared site is owned by the Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.
Adjacent to St Catherine’s Hospital, the site is located in the Doncaster suburb of Balby.
Just 2.5 miles from Doncaster town centre, the site is close to major transport links, including the A1 and M18, and is in an area that has recently undergone redevelopment in the form of new retail, leisure and business premises.
Initial design feasibility indicates that the site has capacity for up to 100 dwellings and early conversations have indicated broad planning officer level support for the development of a comprehensive housing scheme.
Dai Powell, director and development land specialist in the planning, development and regeneration team at Bilfinger GVA Yorkshire, said: “We will be bringing the site to market in September alongside the Trust’s retained adviser Aspinall Verdi.
“It provides a great opportunity to acquire a substantial residential development site.
“An informal tender deadline will be set later in the autumn and I would encourage interested parties to contact Bilfinger GVA’s Leeds-based team.”
