Sunderland-based Energy Professionals Group launches London office
Employment firm Energy Professionals Group (EPG) has expanded with the launch of a new office in London.
The £1m-turnover company, established 11 months ago, is hoping to target a larger pool of candidates from the capital.
Sunderland-based EPG’s head of renewable energy will manage the London office, which will be followed up by two further openings in the US later this year.
Gareth Allen, EPG’s managing director, said: “Demand for our service quickly gathered momentum and provided us with the opportunity to expand our operations.
“Having a presence in London, the Capital, and another in the North East, the capital of the UK’s energy industry, means we’re well placed to access suitably qualified employees.”
He continued: “Our plans to expand into the USA, which has remained relatively unscathed by the fall in oil prices, by opening offices in Houston and Georgia in October will provide us with the geographical diversification needed to protect against cyclical variations in the markets we serve.”
EPG, a member of business development organisation NOF Energy, has so far placed nearly 100 professionals in mid-high level positions across the UK, US and Middle East.
The majority of demand, the firm said, has been for well testing and coil tubing experts.
NOF Energy’s business development manager, Paul Livingstone, commented: “The turnover that EPG has managed to generate in such a short period of time is extremely impressive; it’s service provision is evidently accurately meeting the needs of companies operating in the energy industry and long may it continue.”
