New ambassador joins Birmingham’s JQBID team
Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District (JQBID) is pleased to announce the recent addition to its line-up with Justin Ford stepping into the role as a JQBID Ambassador.
Originally from California, the JQBID’s newest Ambassador has worked in the Jewellery Quarter for over five years, and so brings with him a deep knowledge and understanding of the area, as well as a passion for its community and atmosphere.
Justin’s duties will include carrying out footfall counts around the Jewellery Quarter BID area, supporting the various events that take place throughout the year such as the annual JQ Festival and the monthly JQ Fusions events, as well as offering help to visitors by giving out Quarter Life magazines, maps, informative literature and a very warm welcome, helping to promote the great things the JQ has to offer.
Speaking about his new role, Justin Ford comments: “One of the things I most look forward to while working for the JQBID is being able to see through the improvements that are being implemented. I’m looking forward to helping make the Jewellery Quarter a better place to live, work and play.”
“The Jewellery Quarter has a wealth of history surrounding it, which is why’s it’s important to continue to keep it thriving. I’ve been working in the Jewellery Quarter for a while now, and have always enjoyed the sense of community in the area, as well as the architecture and the history. I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge of the area with the residents, workers and visitors in the JQ.”
Luke Crane, JQBID Manager, added: “Justin’s passion and knowledge of the Jewellery Quarter and its history will be well placed within this ambassadorial role. As the public face of the JQBID, walking the beat across the Quarter, his knowledge will prove useful and informative for all visitors who wish to explore and discover the different areas and attractions of the JQ.”
