Xirrus Introduces Wi-Fi Inspector 2.0
Wi-Fi networks hardware and software company, Xirrus, has launched Wi-Fi Inspector 2.0, a free downloadable app that quickly and easily provides visibility into Wi-Fi networks.
Building on the success of Wi-Fi Inspector 1.0, version 2.0, runs on Windows or Mac OS, supports the latest 802.11ac Wave 1 and Wave 2 standards and provides users a painless way to manage and troubleshoot Wi-Fi networks. Key applications include searching for Wi-Fi networks, troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity issues, verifying Wi-Fi coverage and conducting a site survey. The app also allows users to detect and locate Wi-Fi devices and access points - including unauthorised ones, to verify and monitor network quality and performance and to determine access point placement for network planning purposes.
Bruce Miller, VP of product marketing, Xirrus, said:. “As a testament to its usefulness, our previous Wi-Fi Inspector version was downloaded over one million times since we first introduced it. We are introducing Wi-Fi Inspector 2.0 to continue to provide valuable Wi-Fi insights to network admins and users around the world.”
