Doncaster housebuilder Strata begins work on Derbyshire residential development
Strata, the Doncaster-based privately owned regional home builder, has started work on Ambiance - a 84 property development in Derbyshire.
Working with development agency Fisher German, Strata completed a multi-million-pound deal for a site in Linton, which has planning for up to 110 dwellings.
With plans for a selection of four and five-bedroom family homes to be built, prices will start from £269,995, with completed properties expected to be available from June 2017.
Paul Robinson from Strata, said: “There is currently a real demand for homes in Derbyshire, particularly in south Derbyshire, so this was a very attractive site.
“We are just completing a development a few miles away so this is a continuation of that and should provide essential housing for the area.
“We are keen to create communities in areas that are attractive to both first time buyers and families that want to purchase their forever home. We lead by design and find it very encouraging to see the continued demand to purchase houses from plan.”
Ben Marshalsay, partner at Fisher German, added: “Despite a little uncertainty in the market, this was a smooth transaction thanks to our local knowledge, combined with our market expertise, and shows that there is still a hunger for homes in Derbyshire.
“The site is in a well-regarded location and will facilitate much-needed homes in the area. What is even more impressive is that Linton allows residents to live a country lifestyle while still being commutable to bigger cities such as Derby.”
Strata employs 60 team members at its head office and a further 60 across its development sites.
In April 2016 Strata secured a £50m funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking which gives the business a flexibility in delivering its land acquisition strategy.
