Nisyst helps charities secure and sell large goods

Bolton-based Charity Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) software specialist, Nisyst, has introduced a new Collection & Delivery Module to its market-leading CHARiot system, enabling staff and volunteers to efficiently organise transportation for large scale second-hand goods.

The new software has been developed to help charity retailers promptly arrange carriage of donated furniture and white goods, making life easier for staff, volunteers, donors and customers.

Streamlining the entire collection and delivery process, the solution automatically highlights pick-up and drop-off slots to ensure that transportation can be booked in efficiently with the customer.

Bob Chunilal, managing director at Nisyst, said: “Our CHARiot system is evolving through customer feedback and the new Collection and Delivery Module is a direct reflection of the requirements charity shops have today.

“Potential rewards of selling large second-hand goods are great but there are a whole lot of considerations and challenges that charity stores face in order to secure these donations and sales. Often staff and volunteers need to respond to donors quickly to avoid losing items to another party or risking the items being tipped. Similarly, a complex and slow service can often cost a much needed sale. The new module addresses these requirements, as well as capturing Gift Aid at the point of donation to maximise income.”

Working as an integrated and centralised planner, the software enables all staff and volunteers to check when transportation is available. The new update is available for free on Nisyst CHARiot FSM (Full Scan Mode) charity EPoS system.
