Sovini Group golf day a hit for charity
Everton and Liverpool FC legends Graeme Sharp and Roy Evans joined competitors from the region’s housing and commercial sectors for the inaugural Sovini golf day in September.
West Derby Golf Club played host to the Merseyside-based housing Group’s four ball competition, held in aid of Liverpool Homeless Football Club.
Former Everton players Graham Stuart and Mike Newell were also in attendance for the day, which was rounded off with a charity auction and awards ceremony.
The event raised thousands for Liverpool Homeless FC, who are helping to tackle homelessness through the power of football.
Sovini Group CEO Roy Williams said: “It was a fantastic day of golf and a tremendous opportunity to raise some much-needed funds for such a good cause. I’d like to thank our main sponsors Trowers & Hamlins and everyone else who supported the day to make it such a success.”
Paul Mackie, One Vision Housing Head of Asset Management, was the best individual, while the team from Cobalt Housing were the best four ball.
