UK Police Force contract win for recovery experts

Staffordshire company GRG Public Resources Ltd. has been awarded the Vehicle Recovery Contract for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

GRG Public Resources Ltd. (GRG PR) is based in Valerian House on the Stafford Technology Park. The company has over 20 years’ experience of managing vehicle recovery schemes for police forces across the UK. Experts in this highly specialised field, to date the team have handled more than five million vehicle removal incidents.

For a decade, from 2004 to 2014, GRG PR was the appointed managing agent for the PSNI, until the contract was given to another supplier. However, following a competitive tender GRG PR has been successful in winning a two-year contract, which will commence on November 1, 2016, with the option to extend for a further four years.

The team, co-ordinated by contracts manager Emma Barker, specialise in providing vehicle removal solutions for the emergency services and local councils and have a wealth of practical experience in dealing with some of the most difficult vehicle removal issues.

Inspector Rosemary Leech, of the Road Policing Department for the PSNI, added: “These are exciting times for PSNI and we’re looking forward to renewing our relationship with GRG PR and developing the scheme to deliver a high quality service for the public, the police and our statutory partners.”
