Warrington’s Inprova Group doubles growth to clinch top business award
Warrington-based procurement outsourcing specialist Inprova Group has doubled growth in the past year to win a top business award for outstanding management performance.
The firm has been named Venture Capital Company Team of the Year in the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) North West Management Team Awards 2016.
Since gaining investment from Lloyds Banking Group’s LDC in 2014, Inprova has grown rapidly via acquisition and international expansion. Over the past two years, turnover has trebled and the number of employees has quadrupled to 250.
Earlier this year, Inprova set up an operation in North America after winning a 10-year contract worth £6.5m. The company also launched its Inprova Energy division to bring together three leading UK energy consultancies acquired in 2015.
Inprova Group’s global headquarters remains in Birchwood, Warrington, but it also has offices in South Wales, Warwickshire and Sussex, as well as North Carolina, USA.
Paul Kennedy, Chief Executive of Inprova Group, said: “We’re enormously proud of the scale of our achievements and to receive this prestigious award. This is testimony to the talents and hard work of both our management and shareholder team, as well as our wider staff, who have worked flexibly and positively to welcome the changes to the business and support our continued growth.”
The award judges said: “The Inprova team achieved a great deal in the past 12 months, growing the business organically, integrating three acquisitions and opening a US operation, as well as completing a re-branding. The judges were impressed with the quality of execution across all of these multiple projects in a single year.”
Inprova Group manages more than £1 billion worth of spend on behalf of its private and public sector clients, including Virgin Atlantic, National Grid and Malmaison & Hotel du Vin Group.
Inprova Group will now go through to the National Final of the BVCA Awards in London on 8 December 2016.
The awards, which are produced in association with accountants Grant Thornton, recognise the achievements of UK businesses that are backed by private equity and venture capital funds - demonstrating their important contribution to the UK economy.
