MetroMail reinstates local community spirt

Many charities struggle to communicate with their supporters. A lack of budget and resources results in small charities relying on organic methods of communication.

This limits the success, awareness and fundraising small charities can achieve. A Sunderland based charity, Grace House have encountered many of these issues. However, MetroMail, an industry leading mailing house based in Seaham, County Durham were able to offer a solution.

As a market leader MetroMail have achieved much success over the years maintaining strong connections with many leading brands. Therefore they feel that it’s only right to give a little something back to their local community. For many years MetroMail have worked with the local charity Grace House, printing a variety of direct marketing on their behalf and mailing it out to their supporters free of charge. It is a small contribution to the excellent work that the charity do, helping children and young people across the North East.

Grace House provide a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and young people with complex disabilities, health needs and life limiting conditions. MetroMail like to help in any way they can.

Chris Pygall, managing director at MetroMail stated: ‘as a key employer within the region, employing over 200 people; we feel as though it is our corporate social responsibility to give something back to the local community’.

MetroMail print, enclose and mail packs 2-3 times per year for Grace House, raising awareness of their charity events or sending details of seasonal campaigns to their supporters. Their next event is a ‘Race for Grace Obstacle Challenge 5k Fun Run!’, which takes place on the 17th September at Herrington Country Park in Sunderland. Senior Fundraiser for the charity, Karen Maclennan stated: ‘MetroMail’s support has enabled us to keep our supporters up-dated about current fundraising appeals, campaigns and about the services we provide. Without this support we would be restricted in sending out mailings, MetroMail always act quickly and efficiently in whatever they do for us’.

MetroMail plan to maintain their charitable relationship with Grace House, helping the local community and allowing the charity to carry out their valued work.
