EC Outsourcing creates 100 new North East jobs
Boldon-based EC Outsourcing, a call centre specialising in energy and utilities, has revealed plans to create as many as 100 jobs in the region.
Launching the recruitment drive, the firm says the roles are in retention and sales for energy and telecoms clients.
Creating 50 jobs in March earlier this year, the firm now employs 170 members of staff alongside business to business brokerage EC Business Solutions.
Founder and Managing Director Phil Westoby has over 15 years experience in contact centres, alongside Commercial Director Richard Knox who again has around 15 years experience in both contact centres and telecoms.
In March the company offered around 40 roles to Npower staff during the rumoured redundancies.
Over the last few months, the business has diversified from working with energy clients , teaming up with Sun Bingo in the gaming industry.
Phil Westoby (pictured above) explained: “To be able to create 100 brand new roles is fantastic for our local community and for us as a business.
“The majority of our staff are based in or around Sunderland/South Tyneside with some travelling from further afield.”
“Our continued growth is built on the solid team of specialists we have here, many of whom have been with us over 3 years.
