Excitement builds for Crafter's Companion's Chesterfield store opening

LEADING craft company, Crafter’s Companion, is gearing up for the launch of its second UK store following the completion of its Chesterfield outlet.

The new store at Dobbies Garden Centre and Shopping Village in Chesterfield will officially open to the public on Friday 23rd September.

The outlet will give both craft enthusiasts and people who are trying the hobby for the first time the opportunity to learn about craft and get to know the brand.

Throughout the launch weekend there will be a number of crafty make and take sessions for visitors to get involved in, along with a number of demonstrations from Crafter’s Companion TV stars, Sheena Douglass and Debbie Shore.

Company founder, Sara Davies, who will also be attending the opening weekend said: “So much hard work has gone into getting the new store ready for the opening and it’s absolutely amazing to finally see our plans come to life. The team has done a fantastic job.

“The store will be a great way for people to try their hand at craft, get involved in workshops led by some extremely talented people and of course get to know our brand and our products a little better.

“We look forward to welcoming the public over the opening weekend so they can see what we’re all about.”

The Chesterfield store is the result of a £250,000 investment by the company and is expected to bring craft enthusiasts into the region, as well as offering local crafters a place to further their hobby and socialise with fellow crafters.

Along with housing several themed shopping areas, such as papercraft, sewing, haberdashery, home décor and art, the 5,500 sq. ft. store will also have dedicated areas for workshops, group sessions and demonstrations.

The store, which is the company’s second UK base, has created 12 new jobs in the area so far and is set to deliver a boost to the local economy.

The new store will join several other brands at Dobbies Garden Centre in Chesterfield, such as Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Holland and Barrett, Lakeland, Pets at Home and Cotton Traders. The extensive garden centre also houses a farm shop, food hall and a restaurant.

Crafter’s Companion specialises in manufacturing and distributing crafting tools and products, which are currently sold online via its website, on TV shopping channels across the world, by independent retailers and in its flagship store.
