Law firm Hogan Lovells on the hunt for new London mega HQ
Global law practice Hogan Lovells is on the hunt for a new London headquarters that will consolidate its three offices in the capital and house its 3,000-strong workforce.
The firm is rumoured to be looking for a new 350,000 sq ft property to replace its three separate offices which are currently located on Holborn Viaduct.
According to Property Week, Hogan Lovells has appointed property agents Cushman & Wakefield to locate a suitably sized property with a wide remit across London’s major office markets.
The law firm, which is co-headquartered in London and Washington DC, has offices across the world and was recently ranked as the UK’s seventh biggest law practice based on turnover.
The move comes as rivals Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer also hunt for a new 300,000 st fq property in the capital in a vote of confidence in the capital’s commercial property market.
Touching upon London’s continued attraction for corporate firms, an unnamed leasing agent told Property Week: “The timing and size of the requirement is a real fillip for London and is confirmation, if it was needed, that London’s fundamentals are more attractive to corporates than any offered in other cities in Europe.”
