Gap Systems targets US growth with new appointment

Leading end-to-end product design and lifecycle management software solution, Gap Systems, today announced the appointment of Christian Blaise as Group Director, as it looks to implement its aggressive growth strategy.

Having already enjoyed significant international growth, with major global client wins across the FMCG, retail and pharma sectors in Europe and the US, the appointment of Christian as the US lead comes as Gap Systems eyes an ambitious growth strategy in North America. Christian will be tasked with spearheading Gap Systems US operations and driving the business forward as it looks to grow its presence within the market by 300% over the next three years.

Gap Systems’ modular SaaS solution, Smartflow, is a highly innovative, flexible and robust system, which helps brands and retailers increase the efficiency of their product design and life management (PLM) processes. Affording its clients greater traceability, compliance, efficiency, collaboration, and approval of artwork, Gap Systems’ solution reduces PLM time by as much as 40%, allowing brands and retailers to get to market more quickly, smartly and cost effectively.

Christian joins the Gap Systems team with over 25 years of international experience in the graphic arts industry, specialising in packaging and marketing services. Bringing with him extensive knowledge and understanding of the graphic supply chain market, he previously worked with international super-brands including L’Oréal, Clarins and Yves Rocher, helping them implement project management solutions in order to streamline workflow and create saving efficiencies.

In addition to this, Christian also worked for Nestlé over a six-year period, where he built and implemented France’s Project Management Solution and lead Nestlé’s Brand Content Management project as its worldwide Project Director.

Paul Goldberg, founder and managing director at Gap Systems, commented: “Christian’s appointment comes at a critical point in our growth journey – following significant and sizable international customer wins, and ongoing interest from multiple US based brands, it makes absolute sense for us to expand into North America. Christian’s unrivalled experience and understanding of the packaging and software landscape perfectly places him to lead our US operations as we look to realise our next phase of growth and consolidate our market leading position as an enabler of global brands and retailers.”
