Newcastle shopfitter Aptus completes record New Look fitout
Newcastle-based Aptus Shopfitting has completed a fit-out of national retailer New Look’s largest standalone menswear store.
Covering a 3,800 sq ft space at intu Metrocentre, Gateshead, the site is the the UK’s largest New Look Men store in the country.
In addition to its work with New Look, Aptus is currently refurbishing the Newcastle offices of Fairhurst – one of the largest privately owned Partnerships of Consulting Engineers in the UK.
Other recent and current projects include the delivery of the new Birmingham Conference & Events Centre as well as leisure developments within the new development at intu Eldon Square, Newcastle.
Chris Price, commercial director and co-founder of Aptus, said: “While we have been increasing the national spread of our work in recent years, it’s always great to work on big projects in our native North East. I’m sure the store will be a huge success.
“Despite talk of uncertainty following Brexit, we are seeing no signs of slowdown and we have a number of exciting new opportunities in the pipeline.”
New Look is an international retailer of apparel, footwear and accessories for women, men and teenage girls with over 800 stores in 21 countries.
Chief creative officer Roger Wightman added: “Menswear is a key strategic priority for New Look, and the opening of the menswear standalone stores represents a natural next step for us.
“We are very proud of the improvements made to our offer over the past two years – the opening of menswear standalone stores will allow us to more fully showcase the enhanced quality of our product ranges.”
