Sponsorship of TakeOff Family Day 2016
England’s leading children’s theatre festival to bring streets of Durham to life thanks to sponsorship from Durham city shopping centre Durham City centre is set to be transformed with street theatre, music, storytelling and a whole host of creative family fun in October thanks to the sponsorship of the Take Off Festival Family Day by Prince Bishop’s Shopping Centre. TakeOff Festival is the country’s leading children’s theatre festival and it returns from 17-23 October with 70 shows in 22 venues across the region. Produced by Theatre Hullabaloo, the Festival will reach a fantastic climax with the TakeOff Family Day on Saturday 22 October.
Prince Bishops Shopping Centre are once again sponsoring the Family Day event and Miranda Thain, Creative Producer at Theatre Hullabaloo believes the event will be even bigger and better than last year: “We are delighted to be working with the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre for the second year running to present more inspiring arts events for families in Durham. This year’s TakeOff Festival Family Day promises to be better than ever, with performances and activities for everyone to enjoy.
“We hope families will come along and make a day of it, see more than one performance and soak up the atmosphere of the day.”
The TakeOff Family Day will feature a bonanza of treats for families to enjoy together including 15 theatre performances running throughout the day in Durham City venues, a Mad Hatters Tea Party complete with cakes, dancing and interactive story-telling, street theatre, music sessions, face painting, arts and crafts and much more.
