Free SSL Testing service update

Free High-Tech Bridge SSL security testing service updated, enabling companies to easily test any SSL/TLS-based services for compliance with PCI DSS, HIPAA and NIST, while a new API provides much more flexibility for software developers.

High-Tech Bridge is pleased to announce a new release of its free SSL security testing service that companies and organizations from all over the world use to test their web, email, VPN and other SSL/TLS-based services. The new release thoroughly tests for known vulnerabilities in SSL/TLS implementation (e.g. Heartbleed) and in encryption protocols (e.g. POODLE), as well as checking if a SSL/TLS configuration is compliant with PCI DSS requirements, HIPAA guidance and NIST guidelines. The new version contains an entirely revised API that provides a unified SSL assessment output in JSON format for easy customization by software developers and end-users. The new API also provides more flexibility and runs SSL assessments faster. To ensure smooth migration and compatibility, the previous API version will be supported for the next few months. Full documentation of the API is available here. High-Tech Bridge’s free SSL security test was launched less than a year ago at Black Hat Europe 2015, and over 600,000 users have already tested their systems and services using it. Ilia Kolochenko, CEO and Founder of High-Tech Bridge, says: “We are delighted to see that the audience of our free online services is continuously growing, enabling people from all the continents to easily verify some important aspects of their cybersecurity. We will continue introducing new exciting features in our portfolio of free web security services, stay tuned.” Besides the SSL/TLS security testing service, High-Tech Bridge also provides a free web server security test and free domain security radar – a service to detect phishing and malicious websites falsifying your digital identity or brand name.
