Gartner Declares Xirrus a ‘Visionary’
Gartner has positioned Xirrus in the “Visionaries” quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure report. This market consists of vendors that supply wired and wireless networking hardware and software that provides device connectivity to the enterprise infrastructure access layer - including hardware wireless access points, wired switches, controllers and software network service applications such as network management and policy enforcement.
Gartner cites “onboarding services, including device authentication and user authorisation services for BYOD programs that support many operating systems and device postures, and analytic applications that look not only at the network but also the end-user data to help organisations have a better insight into the performance of their access layer networks,” among others are what network administrators require.
“We believe Xirrus being named as a visionary vendor in Gartner’s Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure Magic Quadrant achievement validates the strength of our next-generation Wi-Fi solutions and our unwavering commitment to innovation,” said Shane Buckley, CEO of Xirrus.
