The Botanist is set to open in York city centre, creating 60 new jobs
The Botanist is set to open the doors to its 11th site in York in November.
The pub and restaurant, operated by The New World Trading Company, will launch a new site on Stonegate in the city centre, covering a total of 5000sq ft.
The opening of The Botanist York will create up to 60 jobs. A General Manager has already been appointed, Ciara Appleton Mcdaid. With over 11 years of industry experience, Ciara will be joining from her previous role as Designate General Manager at The Botanist in Newcastle.
The Botanist York’s offering will include botanical cocktails, beers and ales plus a handpicked selection of gins, local to each of The Botanist sites.
The new venue follows the already existing sites in Manchester, Chester, Alderley Edge, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Marlow, Farnham, Knutsford and soon to be Sheffield.
Customers will be able to order from the deli-inspired boards, and a rotisserie and BBQ-based menu.
Chris Hill, chief executive officer at The New World Trading Company, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring The Botanist concept to York, as we feel the character and atmosphere of the city fits perfectly with the brand.
“It’s great to be able to bring so many jobs to the city and we’re delighted to already have Ciara on board as we begin the recruitment process.”
