Esh Group launches Durham incubator space for North East startups
Construction firm Esh Group has bolstered its Durham-based headquarters with the addition of an incubator space, designed to house startup and small businesses from across the region.
Enlisting the services of commercial property consultants George F. White, Esh hopes to lease the building to prospective tenants looking to grow firms in the North East.
The new office space is a big development in Esh Group’s focus on investing in local communities which is delivered through its community support programme, Esh Communities.
Geoff Woodcock, Managing Director, Esh Developments, explained: “The brand new incubator facility has been predominantly designed and built for emerging start-up and SME businesses within the region who are trying to establish themselves in their respective field.
“Rental rates are very reasonable and the building is situated next to our new training facility “Esh Academy” where all our training will take place, including the training and management of over 150 apprentices.
“Those who move into the incubator will be able to use the training facilities and share training opportunities.”
Mike Young, Head of Commercial Property at George F. White, added: “It’s great to have a client as renowned and large as Esh Group on board.
“We are very excited and motivated to be working with them to help source and secure tenants for the new incubator space which is an impressive building for any new or small business in the North East.”
