TomTom & Prometheus enable Smart Cities Waste Management

TomTom has announced that Prometheus Informatics has been integrating its solution on the TomTom BRIDGE platform. The integration helps waste management companies to take control of their logistics processes, helping them to comply with increased legislation, and to work seamlessly within the smart city landscape.

TomTom BRIDGE is a hardware platform that seamlessly connects business applications with TomTom technology. Prometheus Informatics’ software solution, running on the industrial-grade TomTom BRIDGE, has been designed to meet customer needs in process support, control and data collection. By connecting all available data sources on the truck, such as weighing scales, vehicle information and ID equipment, relevant high-quality data from delivered services is provided. TomTom BRIDGE’s 3G connectivity offers a real-time connection with the planning department and beyond, enabling paperless processes and control for both drivers and planning personnel.
