Local travel agent named in Sunday Times Top Track 250

Amble based travel expert Lizzie Adamson-Brown running her own business as part of leading independent travel company Travel Counsellors, is celebrating after the company was featured in The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table on Sunday 2nd October. Top Track 250 ranks Britain’s mid-market growth private companies with the biggest sales and this is the first time the independent, global travel company has been recognised on this prestigious list. Lizzie is delighted that Travel Counsellors has been acknowledged for their significant growth in sales.

Lizzie began her leisure and corporate travel business from her home-based office in 2014. Since then, she has built up a loyal customer base and the franchise continues to grow.

Lizzie attributes her success to the unique approach of Travel Counsellors that is based on personal relationships, ensuring the best customer experience possible. “I have a close relationship with each and every one of my customers and I genuinely care about making their travel experience special, authentic and tailor-made. The international company operates across seven markets: UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia, UAE, and Belgium. Global sales for the financial year end (31 October 2015) reached £416 million, and the organisation is on track to exceed financial targets in 2016. Currently over 1500 Travel Counsellors, including <>, manage their own home-based businesses with the global support of a 300 strong head office team.

The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table ranks Britain’s mid-market growth private companies with the greatest sales, compiled for the 12th year by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times in October. This list complements the Top Track 100 largest private companies – an accolade Travel Counsellors is hoping to achieve next year.
