Crossbow Bento scheme an instant sales hit
WORK has now been completed on the long-awaited Sheffield Bento development…and already all eight properties have been sold.
Bento - the Chinese for Convenient - is the latest project from city company Crossbow Investments and follows the success of residential schemes like Dunfields at Kelham Island and Bells Court at Trippet Lane.
Bento in Henry Street, close to Kelham Island, consists of eight four story five bedroom town houses, designed by award-winning Sheffield architectural practice Coda Studios.
All the properties, created specifically for Sheffield’s booming student market, include the latest features of design including fitted furniture, feature walls, bespoke artwork and hi-tech kitchens to create a calm and minimalist interior, complete with LCD TVs and superfast broadband.
The bathrooms and en-suites are fully tiled with Hans Grohe showers and taps and European styled sanitary ware.
Other important features of the development include gardens, two exclusive roof terraces and parking spaces.
“The high gloss, high tech, minimalist white and grey interiors set new levels of design for the ever growing and changing student market and we are extremely proud of what we see as a truly ground breaking development,” said Coda Managing Director David Cross.
“The development is eco-friendly, achieving Code 3 on the Code for Sustainable Homes, and his will significantly reduce the energy bills for the development, further enhancing rental income.
“This is an iconic design and one that truly reinvigorates this fast developing area of Sheffield, close to the city centre, the booming Kelham Island district and the university quarter.
“This is Crossbow’s third successful development in this area in three years and we are proud that we now have a fourth, Palatine Gardens, in development, featuring a total of 54 studio apartments and duplex penthouse apartments.
“In fact, Palatine Gardens is so eagerly anticipated that 30 of the properties were sold in the opening week of the project, proving yet again that Sheffield really is a hot bed for development.
“in addition, the company now has more than 300 units planned for development over the next three years at five separate sites across the City Region.
“This level of success cements Crossbow’s reputation as one of the most important city centre developers and as part of the team behind the Krynkl project at Shalesmoor, we can only look forward to even greater success in 2017 and beyond.”
