New partnership sees Advanced Supply Chain create new jobs and open second China office

Advanced Supply Chain, the Bradford-based supply chain provider, has struck a new partnership with a Chinese logistics agent, China Arts Intertrans.

This partnership is expected to secure approximately 30% growth in the business’ China operation over three years, with a significant number of jobs created in the UK and China.

In addition, Advanced Supply Chain has also opened an office in Guangdong, a province on the South China Sea coast, to complement its existing office in Shanghai.

In 2011 Advanced Supply Chain partnered with Sinotrans, China’s second largest logistics company, to offer Advanced’s customers further options and opportunity in China.

Rory Watts, operations director of Advanced Forwarding Limited (Advanced Supply Chain’s forwarding division), said: “This partnership gives us another foothold into China, as we continue our efforts to expand our operation internationally.

“Extending our coverage in the Far East allows our customers further options for sourcing from and delivering goods to the growing marketplace.

“Couple this with our new office and the specific functions we have there, and we are well placed to handle any Chinese warehousing, import or export needs of our customers.

“Our teams in Dongguan & Shanghai offer technical know-how and training on our systems, as well as acting as an immediate point of contact in their time zone.”

Advanced Supply Chain began life specialising in garment processing, and has broadened its services to include haulage, distribution, warehousing and logistics, both in the UK and internationally.
