Details of Chelsea’s new £900m ‘club record’ mega deal with Nike revealed
Premier League football club Chelsea FC have announced they have agreed a club record deal with Nike will bring in £60m a season for the club’s coffers.
The 15-year deal, confirmed by the club today, is billed as the ‘largest commercial deal’ in the club’s history and dwarfs the previous £30m per season deal Chelsea had in place with Adidas.
This new deal will be worth £900m over the life of the contract.
The long-term agreement will see the US sportswear giant become Chelsea’s official kit supplier from the 2017/18, producing strips for the team’s first team, academy and ladies team.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia commented: ’This is an incredibly exciting and important deal for the club. Like Chelsea, Nike is known around the world for its excellence and innovation and we look forward to working together in what is sure to be a successful partnership.
“We believe Nike will be able to support our growth into new markets as well as helping us maintain our place among the world’s elite football clubs.”
